And all the sinners are saints

Friday, March 4th, 2005

What is good and what is bad. Too often our heroes turn kill while our villains fight for their lives. Is it necessary that our side is the one that is always right? Is the one who goes against us always wrong?

Even though I try to understand others I still live life based on me. When I meet someone on the street they are a party of my life, in my mind they become whatever I want them to be good, evil, unimportant. If there is someone who acts we base our actions soley on us.

Now the question that rises, what is evil. Is evil and good a given or merely an opinion. I have lived days feeling like a saint and others as an embodiment of Satan. Does that make me good or bad?

A scale seems the obvious choice. An average of acts of good and evil would place you on a position on the scale.

But what if you try to do good but do evil where does that place you? Are you evil cause of what you did or are you good for what you tried to do. What if you don’t even try to do good or evil but aren’t thinking at all and do one or the other?

This is the problem with religion. It oversimplifies things there is no scale of love and hate, good and evil. Things aren’t so simple. There is a whole range to human emotions. We do good and we do evil and that’s just how things are.

Here is an often accepted solution 14 qualities that will place you as good or evil:
Pride, Envy, Gluttony, Lust, Anger, Greed, Sloth are set as bad
Faith, Hope, Charity, Fortitude, Justice, Temperance, Prudence are

But these are still as simplistic as the original view of bad and good. Cant anger at injustice lead to good? What about being envious of an ability to do good? How about charity for a bad cause?

Bottom line I need to stop thinking of myself as good or evil. I am what I am. I can be good or bad for a time but overall I am human just like anyone else.

Use all your well-learned politesse Or Ill lay your soul to waste,

Got an I-River H-320

Its really awesome, sooo much better then an Ipod. I’ve been playing with it a whole lot and have my entire music collection on it.

Went to Ultrazone with Sam and Jeff. That was a lot of fun, I enjoy hanging out with those two and should do it more often. We played a few games and talked a lot. Brian ended up joining us and we met Andy, Zack, Anthony, and the entire TPHS football team.

Trey’s B-day was last weekend. We had a whole lot of fun. We hung out in Catalina (lots of pics are included in the gallery) with Taylor and George. There we rented a golf cart which broke in about a minute. While there’s no point in listing what we did, we had a lot of fun there and relaxed a whole lot. Thanks a lot Trey for taking us there, hope you had a happy Birthday.

After we got back we picked up Brian and went to dinner at Sam’s pizza. Had good food then went driving. Ended up at Moonlight beach. There was a burning chair… Then drove some more to La Jolla.

Went to Ultrazone with for members night with Trey, Brian, and Lauren. Big turnout with a whole hell of a lot of people there. We played special format games (Zone Ball, Time Warrior, and Stratigo). Good change, if anyone in San Diego wants to come join us then you would be very welcome!

discreetness is a good virtue. It is important to know when not to bug someone or state a problem. On the same token it is equally important to state when you have problems. If someone has a problem with me and doesn’t tell me, the best I could is guess not really know what that problem is. Weather it is a problem within the person or with me sometimes just stating the problem makes things easier.

You fucked up old hag, ha ha, charade you are
